What's the Church For? - SERMON

Today was yet another great day - we had the first baptism since I arrived at the Church of the Good Shepherd. So, I got to fold in a bit of my baptismal theology into the series I'm doing exploring what it means for the people of Good Shepherd and I to Become Church Together. Who are YOU, Church of the Good Shepherd, Dunedin? - SERMON

Today was my official "welcome" as the priest in charge of this congregation. I'm not so sure about the "in charge" part, but I'm totally committed and thrilled about the "priest" part. I'm falling in love with my new church family, because they have welcomed me with such love. This has been so cool!

Who Am I? - Sermon

Everyone has a story. I have come to believe that the path forward to world peace (not whirled peas) is for us to listen to the personal stories of people we don't know well, especially people of whom we might be afraid, or who are very, very different from us. Telling your story is a powerful way of claiming who you are.
