Below Expectations - SERMON

Most of us of a certain age have been evaluated at work on a numerical scale that ranged from 1 - "Below Expectations" - to, say, 14, "Exceeds Expectations." Jesus had earned a "1" from the priests, Pilate, and even his disciples. Jesus' Resurrection did not change the evaluation, it tore up the notion that God has any interest in meeting our expectations at all. Love Wins - SERMON

If God is mostly about damning the unworthy, then didn't death win? I don't think that's what the life, death and resurrection of Jesus show us about God. I think Love wins. Life wins. Hope wins. 5 Marks of Love: Treasure - SERMON

What or who is God's greatest treasure? Psalm 24 says "The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it." That includes us. Why don't we treat Creation and each other as priceless treasures? It's what Jesus did. Read the sermon here.
